The EUR 1.85 billion mass-transit Automated People Mover (APM) solution, for Los Angeles International Airport broke new ground for financing in the U.S. The project covers a 3.7 km elevated guideway connecting parking and intermodal facilities to the international airport, a free transfer service to transport 30 million passengers annually. This was the first time a DBFOM PPP model used for a transport system of this nature at an US airport.
