Uruguay’s very first PPP involves the construction of a new
prison, with capacity for some 1,960 inmates. The project – which was procured
through DBFOM – will house the National Rehabilitation Institute.
As the Lenders’ Technical Advisor, Infrata provided due
diligence services up to BAFO stage. We will also provide construction
monitoring services throughout the project’s 22-month construction period.
“This is the first project in Uruguay to be procured under a PPP model, and it’s to set the path for a strong pipeline of PPP projects across different sectors. Our appointment is a testament to our international standing as a leading LTA firm, and our ability to work in Native Spanish. I am delighted to lead the team and achieve a successful financial close in due course.”
