The A355 Motorway - Western Strasbourg Bypass Project is a demand-based greenfield project, consisting of the design, build, finance, operate and maintain (DBFOM) of a tolled motorway, which will be approximately 24km long and dimensioned as a 2x2 lanes road, with hardshoulders. The speed limit is to be 110km/h. The A355 will bypass the city of Strasbourg to the West, running through the rural Alsatian plain, around 10km from the city, and will affect 24 communes. It will link motorways A352 (Strasbourg-Molsheim) and A35 (Piémont des Vosges, Strasbourg-Sélestat), located South of Strasbourg, to motorways A4 (Strasbourg-Paris) and A35 (Hoerdt-Lauterbourg), located North of Strasbourg.
