Infrata’s Managing Director since 2016, Alonzo Guzman has more than 14 years’ of industry experience. He has advised lenders, investors and sponsors of infrastructure projects all over the world. He has served as a Director at Infrata since the company’s inception.

As a Civil Engineer, Alonzo has undertaken a variety of roles, including Lenders’ Technical Advisor, Procurement Advisor, Project and Programme Manager, and Employer’s Agent. Valery Olefir leads Infrata's aviation team, and is responsible for strategic advisory services across all transport sectors at Infrata. He brings more than 20 years of experience to the company, having worked on a large number of advisory and due diligence projects. Valery has lead over 20 airport due diligence transactions, many for complex airport networks.

John Gibbon is a Chartered Engineer and a leading transportation consultant. He specialises in railway planning, operations, multi-modal transportation systems, light rail systems, airports, and ports.

John has been involved in the financial modelling of transportation infrastructure, such that it can be reviewed for privatisation, restructuring, or investment from the public or private sector.

Mauricio is a Civil Engineer with over 15 years experience in the construction industry in Colombia and the UK. Through his experience, Mauricio has had the opportunity to take part on highly complex and challenging infrastructure projects, such as Crossrail in London. He has previously been involved in project management on various transport infrastructure projects in LATAM as an independent consultant, specialising on environmental and risk management areas.

Ray Powell is a Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 35 years of project experience in transportation and social infrastructure. Luca Benedini is our Technical Director and Head of T&R at Infrata. He has 25 plus years of experience in the Transport and Energy Infrastructure sectors. He has substantial experience in supporting demand risk based transactions, offering demand and revenue advisory services to developers, investors and banks across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. Luca has led projects on various types of tolled transportation infrastructures (roads, bridges, express lanes), and has managed demand forecasts for car parks, pipelines and irrigation water canals.

Steve Wray is a shipping economist with extensive experience in market and financing studies for the port and shipping industries. Assaad Abou Karam serves as a Principal Consultant at Infrata using his expertise as a Chartered Civil Engineer with a double degree from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and ESIB Lebanon. With over 12 years' of experience in the aviation industry, Assaad’s professional journey include 5 years at Gatwick Airport where he contributed to various infrastructure projects such as the main runway resurfacing, the new Rapid Exit taxiway and the Northern Runway programme. Vilma is a psychologist with more than 15 years of experience in environmental and socio-cultural issues. Sevil is an environmental engineer with 15 years-experiences in environmental and social due diligence (ESDD), environmental and social construction and operation monitoring, environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance and environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) studies. She has participated in various ESIA, environmental and social gap analysis, ESDD and environmental and social monitoring studies conducted against host country legislation as well as guidelines of the various international financial institutions such as International Finance Corporation (IFC), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Investment Bank (EIB) and Ex-im Bank etc. She has worked for Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the health and transportation sectors and also the private sector energy and manufacturing projects as part of lender environmental and social advisory services. She has an extensive experience and familiarity of project management in Turkey.

Xabier is Industrial Engineer with over 5 years’ experience in railway PPP projects mainly acting as OpEx Bid Manager in international LRT projects and as O&M Project Engineer involved in management duties of the O&M Companies during execution stage.

Among the main duties carried out during such experience are the following: develop maintenance strategies to optimize Lifecycle Cost (LCC) complying with KPIs and contractual requirements, size and define resources needed under O&M Companies to execute satisfactorily the project according to required performance levels, analyse deeply the contracts (concession, EPC, O&M and interface agreements) identifying risks and opportunities, feed and analyse O&M business plans and scenarios implementing optimizations and identifying their potential impact in the business, identify potential measures which improve the business in the long term carrying out cost benefit analysis, design review from operation and maintenance perspective ensuring that systems comply with O&M requirements and participate during negotiations with potential providers together with EPC teams following the most optimized solution for the whole life of the project.

Before joining Infrata, Xabier worked at CAF where he specialized in LRT PPP projects with O&M scope and is used to work within international environments and multidisciplinary teams. This experience makes him be familiar with all the aspects, structure and relevant considerations of a PPP project from initial tendering stages until the end of the project once the handback to the Authority is completed.

Connor holds a degree in Economics and Economic History from the London School of Economics and speak English and Spanish.

Juan is a Civil Engineer with over 10 years' experience and wide technical knowledge in Project Control. Juan has a degree in Civil Engineering from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería. He has been involved in different construction projects in Colombia sectors such as, oil & gas and road infrastructure. Juan is a Project Management Specialist with PMP certification, he also has an MBA in General Management.

Camilo is an Environmental Engineer with a Masters in Environmental Management, Quality and Control. He has more than 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Mining sectors.

He has acted as lender’s socioenvironmental advisor in due diligences assessing Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards, and worked as an environmental coordinator for infrastructure projects and auditor of Environmental, Health and Safety compliance projects against ISO 14001, 9001, 45001 and RUC standards.

Laura has a B.Sc in Civil Engineering and an M.Sc in Project Management from UMECIT. Laura has more than 8 years of experience in the areas of cost and management of large infrastructure projects. Laura is a Senior Consultant at Infrata, acting as project manager for highway and port concessions in Colombia and Peru. Her native language is Spanish and she is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Albert is a Senior Consultant at Infrata in the Aviation, Maritime, and Economics team. Albert has over 5 years of experience in the Transport Consulting sector, with the last two years mostly focused on Maritime and Logistics related projects. He has been involved in greenfield and brownfield projects across Europe, LATAM, Africa, and the Middle East, providing advisory services such as structuring concessions, commercial and technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and supporting the creation of business plans.

Eva is a Senior Consultant in the T&R team at Infrata with over five years of professional experience in the transport infrastructure field. Tatiana holds a degree in Civil Engineering and she is based in Bogotá, Colombia. Barnaby is a Senior Consultant in the Traffic & Revenue team at Infrata. He has over 5 years of experience as an advisor for infrastructure projects across the world. Barnaby provides traffic and revenue forecasting and due diligence services for infrastructure transactions working with wide range of clients, including developers, investors and banks across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. Gabriela is a Senior Consultant on the Technical Advisory team at Infrata. With over 7 years of experience, Gabriela’s career and professional interests include construction planning, supervision and management (cost estimation, scheduling, contract management and contract supervision, among others), as well as due diligence and monitoring of both traditional infrastructure loans (i.e., financing provided by development banks to public sector entities), also project finance transactions in different infrastructure sectors (roads, rail, social infrastructure, among others) and regions (North America, EMEA and LATAM).

Carlos holds a B.Sc in Civil Engineering, postgraduate degree in Project Management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), with more than 15 years of experience on industrial infrastructure , mainly oil and gas projects in Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. He has construction management and supervision experience on social infrastructure projects in Colombia.

Michael is a consultant on the Aviation and Economics team at Infrata. He provides socioeconomic analysis, traffic forecasting and due diligence services on a wide range of infrastructure projects globally. Prior to joining Infrata, Michael worked as a consultant at an aviation advisory consultancy firm. Michael holds an integrated Masters in Mathematics from the University of Surrey.

Camilla L. Sorrenti is a Consultant at Infrata on the Aviation, Maritime and Economics team. Camilla has experience on Traffic and Commercial Due Diligence advising sponsors and lenders on a variety of global infrastructure projects. Camilla holds a Master’s in Management from Imperial College Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy from City, University of London. During her studies, she assisted in research and business development Rosa & Roubini Associates ltd in London. She is a native Italian speaker and fluent in English, Spanish and French.

Eric Montfort is a consultant at Infrata on the Aviation and Economics team. He conducts socioeconomic research and traffic analysis for clients on a variety of global infrastructure projects. Eric holds a Masters in Transport and Business Management from Imperial College London, and a Bachelors in Civil Engineering with focus on transport from École Nationale des Travaux Publics de l'État. During his studies, he did an internship as data analyst at SNCF Réseau in France, and he conducted a research project on air travel demand behaviour modelling in London. He is fluent in English, Spanish and he is a native French speaker.

Emilia is an ESG Consultant who is experienced in undertaking ESG vendor and buyside due diligence assignments for infrastructure transactions. She also provides advice to lenders on environmental and social risk, largely in line with internationally recognised frameworks, such as the Equator Principles and the IFC Performance Standards. She advises on a variety of sectors, including transport, digital, energy and waste, across the UK, Europe, and North America.

Emilia holds a Master's degree in Sustainability and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Geography from the University of Leeds. She is a Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and she is a Registered Environmental Practitioner under the Society for the Environment.

Paula is an Environmental Engineer with over 5 years of experience. She has worked as an environmental coordinator for road infrastructure projects in Colombia, carrying out in-depth biotic, abiotic, and H&S assessments and management plans.

She has participated of due diligence and construction monitoring of various infrastructure projects, focusing on compliance reviews of Equator Principles, CAF Safeguards and IFC performance standards.

Paula is specialized on Environmental Law and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Tourism Economics and Management.

David holds a BSc on Civil Engineering with emphasis on road infrastructure. David started at Infrata as a university intern and currently supports the technical team in the due diligence and construction monitoring of the most emblematic projects in the country, among which are: Autopista al Mar II, Montes de Maria and Ruta del Cacao. David is fluent in English and Spanish as his native language.

Theodor Thanopoulos is a Consultant at Infrata on the Aviation and Economics team. He provides socioeconomic analysis, traffic forecasting and due diligence services on a wide range of traffic and road projects globally. Theodor obtained his Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics from the University of Amsterdam. He is a native speaker in Bulgarian, and fluent in English.

Andrijana is an ESG Analyst at Infrata. She performs environmental and social audits and provides advice to sponsors and lenders on social and environmental risks. Her current focus is on Green and Sustainable Finance, more specifically, Green and Climate Bonds, compliance reviews against the IFC Performance Standards (IFC PS) and Equator Principles, and development and monitoring of Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAP).

Andrijana holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering with an emphasis on Environmental Engineering from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University College London. The focus of her postgraduate research was the development of high-performance, multifunctional, porous materials (i.e. sorbents) that can address separation challenges related to environmental, water and energy sustainability. She is fluent in English, French and Serbian.

Elizabeth Bentham is an Analyst at Infrata on the Aviation, Maritime and Economics team. She recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Economics. Elizabeth Previously joined Infrata for a summer internship where she gained practical experience assisting with a variety of global infrastructure projects.

Alexandre A. Fatouros is an analyst on the Aviation, Maritime & Economics team. Alexandre has experience on socio-economic analysis, traffic forecasting and commercial due diligence advising sponsors and lenders on a variety of global infrastructure projects. He holds an MEng in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London. Previously, he worked in the field of transport consulting for development planning. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Greek and Portuguese.

Max is an analyst on the Aviation, Maritime, and Economics team at Infrata, where he assists in providing comprehensive analysis for a diverse portfolio of global infrastructure projects. After graduating from the University of Bath with a BSc in Economics, he accrued valuable experience within EY's Business Consulting service line, gaining a foundation in economic and business analysis.

Carlos is a Civil Engineer with a Master's degree in Financial Technology from Politecnico di Milano. He has over 5 years of experience working on PPP and technical projects in the aviation industry. His experience ranges from Master Plans, Basic Design, Aeronautical Studies, Contractual Agreements to Business Strategy. Some of his relevant experiences include:

Thomas Cathcart is an Analyst at Infrata working on the ESG and Technical advisory teams. He recently graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Sustainability and Environmental Management. Thomas initially joined Infrata on an internship over the 2023 summer, where he gained practical experience assisting with global infrastructure projects. He has since worked on the due diligence of a range of projects involving social, water and transport assets.

Robert joined at the start of 2024. He obtained his chartered accountancy qualification in 2010 at EY working within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications team both in London and Sydney. He has since gained further Finance and Commercial experience working at Atos for 8 years across a range of public and private companies. Robert will lead the finance team ensuring all due processes are followed and accurate financial information can be utilised to help grow the business.

Amar heads up the Accounts team providing accurate and up-to-date financial information to the team and Directors.

Melody manages our day to day finance assisting the head of finance providing accurate and up-to-date financial information to the team and Directors.

Claudia manages our day to day finance assisting the head of finance providing accurate and up-to-date financial information to the team and Directors.

Gemma provides support to the Finance Managers, through maintaining financial systems, recording and processing financial information, data entry and general financial administration. She ensures effective financial management across the company in order to maintain efficient running of the Finance Department.
