This 125km section of the A28 is a tolled motorway and forms part of a European corridor which connects northern France to the Iberian Peninsula, bypassing Paris. At the northern end, the A28 connects with the A13 (Paris to Caen) motorway and in the south, beyond Alençon, the A28 passes through Le Mans and ends at Tours, where it merges with the A10. The A28 is dual lane except on the Bec and Risle viaducts, where it is single lane.
