The £1 billion Silvertown project will deliver a new road tunnel under the River Thames, connecting the London boroughs of Newham and Greenwich. The scope includes the DBFO of the tunnel, with 2 lanes in each direction, complementing the existing Blackwall Tunnel. With a total length of approximately 1.4km, the central twin bored section will have a diameter of circa 12m, and be 1km long.
