The purpose of Project Bonsu is to develop, finance, operate and maintain water infrastructure in the Asutsuare region (close to the Volta Lake region). This includes the development of a 360,000m3 two-stream water treatment facility and the construction of 72km of pipeline and associated booster stations, reservoirs and connection points linking the treatment plant to the Accra Tema distribution points of Ghana Water Company Limited. Total capital expenditure of the Project is estimated at €380 million with a 5 year construction period.
